Expanded Tolerances for Voluntary Calorie Statements in the Labeling and Advertising of Wine, Distilled Spirits, and Malt Beverages

TTB is expanding the tolerances for voluntary calorie statements on labels and in advertisements for wine, distilled spirits, and malt beverages. This action will result in calorie tolerances that are more consistent with the food labeling regulations of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and may facilitate the broader use of voluntary nutrient content statements in the labeling and advertising of alcohol beverages.
