Amendment to functional foods for health standards and specifications

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) proposes in the amendment a safety and functional re-evaluation of 7 types of functional ingredients, including ginseng and red ginseng. The project also includes a review of the daily intake of indigestible maltodextrin. In addition, it is intended to unify the test method for vitamin K1, improve the test method for pantothenic acid, and establish a simultaneous analysis of catechin and caffeine.
