The draft regulation submitted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), aims to amend the 2021 Regulation in relation to the inclusion of enzymes derived from genetically modified sources in the processing aids approved at the 32nd and 35th meetings of the Food Authority.
In Appendix C, under the heading “II. USE OF PROCESSING AIDS IN FOOD PRODUCTS”, is Table 11 related to “ENZYMES (for treatment or processing of raw materials, food or ingredients)”.
