MFDS proposes amendment to the review procedure for functional ingredients

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has published an administrative notice on the Partial Revision of the Regulations on Recognition of Functional Raw Materials and Standards/Specifications for Health Functional Foods.
Main content:
Establishment of new processing for submitting rejected application documents. In order to simplify the review process for raw materials with review history, regulations have been established to only review supplemented data if less than 2 years have elapsed since rejection or withdrawal.
