Department of Food Safety has revoked the declaration of 31 types of functional foods

The Department of Food Safety issued three decisions to revoke the registration certificates of four healthy food products (a type of functional food).
Regarding the reason for revoking these decisions, the Department of Food Safety explained that based on the voluntary request for withdrawal and deregistration of registered units' health protection-related food products, "it is not related to the quality of the product." Some companies voluntarily requested to withdraw their applications for 2023 and 2024, but a decision to withdraw them has only recently been made.
The reason for this is that Decree 15/2018 currently does not regulate the cases for revoking product declaration registration certificates. Recently, the Department of Food Safety requested the Ministry of Health's policy on this issue and then issued the withdrawal decisions.
