List of meat-related words prohibited on the labels of plant-based products

The government has issued a new Decree (No. 2024-144) concerning the use of certain names to designate food products containing vegetable proteins.
The Decree establishes a list of terms referring to meat that cannot be used from now on to designate foods containing vegetable proteins and a list of terms authorized for the designation of foodstuffs of animal origin which may contain plant proteins and relative maximum proportion of plant proteins for the use of such terms.
