Changes in food additives, flavorings and processing aids regulations in force

On February 27, changes to the Customs Union Technical Regulations on food additives, flavorings and processing aids came into force.
"Five new concepts have been introduced, several definitions have been updated, the list of permitted food additives has been reduced from 362 to 349 and six new food additives approved" the EEC clarified.
At the same time, the list of flavoring substances for the production of food flavorings has been significantly extended and the content of the main substance, the scope of application and the maximum permitted level have been established.
