New specifications for Iron Oxide published

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has issued Notice No. 2023-60, amending part of the Food Additives Code, which reads as follows:
- In order to facilitate the application of new food additives produced using microorganisms, the extended section of the microbial catalogue can be exempted from safety information.
- Newly set the provisions and composition specifications of iron oxide that can be used in the production of healthy functional foods that require shading.
