Review of Regulations on food additives

The Norwegian Food Safety Authority issued a notice to revise the regulations on food additives. The main contents are as follows:

 

  • Change the requirements for the use of sodium (E500) and potassium carbonate (E501) in squid in food class 9.1.2.
  • Approve the use of Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone(E1201) in unprocessed mollusks and crustaceans and in foods for special medical purposes.
  • To revise the specification for the use of the additive sodium diacetate (E262 (II))
