FSSAI authorizes the use of food additives (food coloring) in liquors and food

In view of the recommendation and observation of the Panel, it has been decided to operationalise the revised provisions related to use of certain food colour in Distilled Spirituous Beverages and use of Allura Red in food category 14.2.6 Distilled Spirituous Beverages except for the country liquors upto 1 00mg/Kg with immediate effect.

Food Additive: Tartrazine; Carmoisine; Brilliant Blue FCF Sunset Yellow FCF; Ponceau 4R; Allura Red.
