Ministry of food and drug safety announces amendment to the norms and standards for food additives on benzoic acid in foods

The ministry of food and drug safety announced a draft amendment stating that if benzoic acid is detected in a minimal amount (0.02 g / kg or less) in food, it is recognized as a natural origin.

In food, when benzoic acid is detected as a food additive and it is less than 0.02 g / kg, which is difficult to say that it was added artificially, a new standard has been set to recognize it as a natural origin.
