Amendment on food additives

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published an amendment to the Food Standards Code regarding food additives.  

The amendment authorizes the use of a mixture of steviol glycosides, Rebaudioside MD, which is produced by fermentation of a genetically modified Yarrowia lipolytica (Y. lipolytica), which expresses genes from the steviol glycoside biosynthesis pathway, as an intense sweetener.
