Codex Committee on Food Additives Announces Meeting for March 2025

The Codex Committee on Food Additives will meet in Seoul on March 24-28, 2025. It has been announced that two physical working groups will meet at the same venue, namely.
The Group on the General Standard for Food Additives will meet at the same venue:
- The Group on the General Standard for Food Additives on Friday, March 21.
- The Group on Endorsement or Harmonization of Food Additive Provisions on Saturday, March 22.
Topics to be discussed at the meetings:
- Matters of interest raised by FAO/WHO and by the 99th Session of the Joint FAO/WHO Committee on Food Additives.
- of the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA).
- Proposed draft specifications for the identity and purity of food additives arising from the 99th JECFA meeting.
- Endorsement and/or revision of maximum levels for food additives and processing aids in JECFA standards.

- Alignment of food additive provisions in commodity standards.
- General Standard for Food Additives (GSFA): Report of the Working Group
- GSFA: Proposals for new and/or revised food additive provisions (responses to CL 2024/58-FA).
- Proposed Draft Revision of the Class Names and International Numbering System for Food Additives (CXG 36-1989).
