MFDS to revise the composition specifications of food additives

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Notice No. 2024-531, proposing to amend part of the Food Additives Code, mainly as it relates to:
- Modify the composition specification of stevia.
- Increase the solvent available for the production of xanthan gum and gellan gum.
- Modify the composition specification test method of sucrase and ferulic acid.
