FSANZ published several amendments to the Codex on Food Standards

The Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published the Official Bulletin on Amendment No. 230 to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, the main revised standards are:
- Standard 1.5.3 Food Irradiation
- Schedule 3 Characterization and Purity
- Schedule 18 Processing Aids
- Schedule 26 Foods Produced Using Gene Technology
The scope of application of these amendments is as follows:
- A1261-Increase in the maximum permitted energy of X-rays during food irradiation.
- A1281-Approval of genetically modified maize line DP910521 for food use.
- A1282-Approval of Bacillus subtilis protease from genetically modified Bacillus subtilis as a processing aid.
- A1283 - Approval of 2′-fucose-based lactose produced by genetically modified Bacillus cereus for use in infant formulae.
