NHC announces review of new foods and food additives

The National Health Commission (NHC) has announced that, in accordance with the provisions of the Food Safety Law, an expert panel has been organized to review and approve the following new substances:
- 4 new food raw materials: Peach gum, Panax oleifera, Leuconostoc mesenteroides subsp. cremoris and Pyrroquinoline quinone disodium salt;
- 6 new food additives: Serine protease, Magnesium lactate, 2'-Fucosyllactose, Lactose-N-neotetraose, Calcium lactate and Sanzan gum;
- CI Pigment Black 7, Cabon Black.
Safety assessment materials for the new substances will be reviewed and passed.
