Nutri-Score officially designated as new Food Choice Logo
Netherlands
Jun 01, 2023
The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) has designated the so-called Nutri-Score as the food choice logo to be used by the Dutch from next year.
Nutri-Score is legally designated as the food choice logo that Dutch manufacturers and supermarkets can use for their food products. Anyone doing their shopping can use this additional tool to make a healthier choice per product category. After careful consideration and review by the Health Council, State Secretary Maarten van Ooijen (VWS) implements the National Prevention Agreement to introduce a food choice logo.
