New specifications for non-synthetic food additives adopted

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) published the Revision of Specifications and Standards for Food, Food Additives under the Food Hygiene Act. The objective of the revision is to establish specifications for some non-synthetic food additives and to revise existing standards and specifications, such as test methods.
