New processing aid in the manufacture of fruit and vegetable juices/products

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) announced the 2 application proposal on a processing aid:

Polygalacturonase from GM Aspergillus oryzae as a processing aid: This application seeks to permit polygalacturonase from a genetically modified strain of Aspergillus oryzae containing the polygalacturonase gene from Aspergillus tubingensis, as a processing aid in the manufacture of fruit and vegetable juices/products, coffee processing, flavouring production and wine production.

Pectinesterase from GM Aspergillus oryzae as a processing aid: ​This application seeks to permit pectinesterase from a genetically modified strain of Aspergillus oryzae containing the pectinesterase gene from Aspergillus tubingensis, as a processing aid in the manufacture of fruit and vegetable juices/products, coffee processing, flavouring production and wine production.​
