Global Foodmate summarised the food regulations (at national level) was implemented since October 1, 2019, for your reference.
1. SAMR | Measures for the Administration of Food Safety Sampling and Inspection
On August 16, 2019, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued the Measures for the Administration of Food Safety Sampling and Inspection. The inspection focuses on food and complementary food for infants and other specific crowd, as well as the food that was widely distributed or/and was consumed in a large amount or/and was involved in many complaints and reports from consumers, etc.
The measure will come into effect on October 1, 2019.
2. SAMR | Administrative Measures on the Catalogue of Health Food Raw Materials and the Catalogue of Health Functions
On August 20, 2019, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued the Administrative Measures on the Catalogue of Health Food Raw Materials and the Catalogue of Health Functions (SAMR ([2019] No.15)), which will be implemented on October 1, 2019.
3. GAC|Cancel Label Filing for imported Pre-packaged Food
On April 22, 2019, General Administration of Customs (GAC) issued an announcement on the Management of Supervision on Labelling of imported and Exported Pre-packaged foods, declaring that the requirement of label filing for first imported pre-packaged food is cancelled from October 1, 2019.
