ARSA updates the Regulation for the Sanitary Control of Food and Beverages

The Health Regulation Agency (ARSA in Spanish) has published the updated Regulation for the Sanitary Control of Food and Beverages. This regulation establishes the necessary provisions to ensure food safety, ranging from the manufacture and handling to the marketing, export, and even advertising of food and beverages. Among the key aspects, it regulates:

  • Raw materials and finished products.
  • Establishments that process, package, store and distribute.
  • Catering services related to food and beverages.

This regulation not only promotes greater control over the quality and safety of food and beverages, but also represents an important step towards improving public health in the country.
