Proposed new rules for the availability of alcoholic beverages

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development has submitted for public consultation a draft regulation specifying requirements for the packaging of certain spirits. The draft contains proposals to regulate the rules for the sale of spirits in small formats by limiting the type of packaging used to bottles or cans only, so that the packaging does not mislead consumers.
The deadline for submitting comments is October 7, 2024.
