Colombia publishes draft update of its regulation on dietary supplements

On July 2nd, 2024, the Colombian Ministry of Health and Social Protection issued a decree to update the technical regulations concerning dietary supplements.
The new measure aims to modernize the existing standards, including updating technical requirements, revising daily reference values for vitamins and minerals, and enhancing post-marketing controls. The decree repeals several previous regulations, including Decree 3249 of 2006 and its amendments. The update is based on recommendations from the Pacific Alliance and the World Bank Group
