Approved standards for the labeling of sports nutrition products

The Government of the Federation approved Resolution No. 811, dated May 31, 2025, on the rules for the labeling of food products for athletes with means of identification. According to the Resolution, mandatory labeling comes into force on October 1, 2025. The labeling rules are presented in nine sections.
As of September 1, 2025, market participants will be required to register in the monitoring system and, as of October 1, will begin mandatory labeling of their products. Information on the withdrawal of sports nutrition products from circulation will be sent to the monitoring system from March 1, 2026, and on their circulation from March 1, 2027. Unmarked sports nutrition products, produced or imported into the Russian Federation before September 30, 2025, may be sold until August 31, 2026 (inclusive). The resolution comes into force on September 1, 2025, with the exception of the provisions that come into force on the date of publication.
