New Draft Regulation on Dietary Supplements

The Ministry of Public Health of Uruguay has issued for public consultation the Draft Decree on the Regulation of Dietary Supplements. The Draft Decree will be included in Chapter 32, Section 3 of the National Bromatological Regulation.
The Draft Decree defines dietary supplements as products with physiological or nutritional effect, formulated to complement the normal diet of healthy people, who are not in pathological conditions, but whose basic dietary needs are not satisfied.
