TITCK updates requirements for use of health claims on foods and dietary supplements

The Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TITCK in turkish) issued Notice No. 32288, amending the use of health claims in food and complementary foods, effective from the date of publication. Main contents:
- Health claims not included in the annexes of the relevant guidelines shall not be used on the products;
- Products produced before the date of publication of this Regulation but not placed on the market and which comply with the original Turkish Codex Alimentarius nutrition regulations using health claims may be placed on the market in accordance with the original health claims, and the relevant health claim label will be used until December 31, 2024.
