Regulation on consumer information and advertising of alcoholic beverages published

The Ministry of the Interior and Public Safety published DECREE No. 91 approving the Regulation on consumer information and advertising of alcoholic beverages. This regulation establishes the characteristics and conditions to which alcoholic beverages destined to be marketed in Chile must beverages intended to be marketed in Chile, with regard to warnings about the consequences of alcoholic beverages.

The present regulation establishes the characteristics and conditions to which alcoholic beverages intended to be marketed in Chile must adhere, as regards warnings on the consequences of their harmful consumption and risk groups in which alcohol consumption is harmful, and the information on their energy value that must be included in their labeling, as well as the conditions under which the advertising of these beverages must be carried out.
