Amendments to the Alcoholic Products Act

The South African Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued Notice 2247 in the Government Gazette (No. 46681), amending the Alcohol Products Act (1989). Major amendments include:
- The words "Tequila" or "Mezcal" shall not be used without authorization;
- The definition, characteristics and alcohol content of mead, fruit wine, absinthe, rum, gin and other kinds of alcohol;
