The dried larva of authorized as a novel food

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/882, of June 1, 2021, has been published, authorizing the marketing of dried Tenebrio molitor larvae as novel food in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 of the European Parliament and of the Council and the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2470 is amended.
In its opinion, the Authority concluded that the dried Tenebrio molitor larvae are safe in the uses and at the proposed levels of use. Therefore, the opinion of the Authority provides sufficient reasons to establish that the dried larvae of Tenebrio molitor, under the conditions of use evaluated.
