Jun 30, 2021
The bill would open up the gates for hemp-derived CBD to be added to food, dietary supplements, animal feed, and other products sold in the state. It would also permit the sale of hemp flower to consumers.
A vote on Amendment 130 in the state Senate is expected while the Massachusetts House of Representatives is to consider a parallel bill with similar language in a virtual public hearing on June 1. In the Senate, the amendment was filed by Sen. Diana DiZoglio, a Democrat from Methuen, as part of the 2021 budget.
