FSSAI Notifies norms on ânutrient functionâ claims for edible oil firms

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has notified a list of permitted ânutrient functionâ claims that edible oil companies can use on the labels and advertisements of their products.
They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette and Food Business Operator shall comply with all the provisions of these regulations by 1st July, 2021.
Claims including nutrient function claims for edible vegetable oils may be made as provided in Schedule â III.
