NOVEL FOOD AUTHORIZATIONS: PHENYLCAPSAICIN AND ‘2'-FUCOSYLLACTOSE/DIFUCOSYLLACTOSE MIXTURE

The implementing regulations for the authorization of the novel foods phenylcapsaicin and â2'-fucosyllactose/difucosyllactose mixture have been published in the EU official journal. Both substances will be authorized for use in food supplements.
â2'-Fucosyllactose/Difucosyllactose mixture is authorized for use in food supplements with an intake of maximum 4 g per day. Phenylcapsaicin is authorized for use in food supplements destined for adults and cchildren older than 11 years with a maximum daily intake of 2,5 mg per day.
