HUNGARY – BAYER MULTIVITAMIN ADDVERTISEMENT FOUND TO VIOLATE ADVERTISEMENT RULES

Bayer is imposed a 7.000.000 Forint fine (approximately 21.000 euro) for the marketing of food supplements towards children in tv commercials. The adds promoted Supradyn Kids Multivitamin while showing Spongebob Squarepants and a magical towel which are clearly recognizable to children.
The practice is found in breach of the local unfair commercial practices rules. Bayer is also required to remove other forms and products for the promotion of their children products, including visuals on the packaging.
