Jan 01, 2020

Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) organised inspections of foods (432 batches) and found out batches unqualified. 4 food categories were involved, which were fruit products, meat products, edible agricultural products and infant formula.

The unqualified reasons were microbial contamination (involving 1 batch of fruit products sold online and 2 batches of meat products sold offline), veterinary drug residue issue (involving 1 batch of fish sold offline) and inconformity between nutrition index and labelled index (involving 1 batch of infant formula manufactured by Blue River Dairy LP).

Information was published on the website of SAMR on November 16, 2019.
