The two substances, â2'-Fucosyllactose/Difucosyllactose mixture and phenylcapsaicin, are added to the list of authorized novel foods. Both authorizations cover a range of food categories, including use in food supplements.
Furthermore, the authorization for nicotinamide riboside chloride is also likely to be published soon. The draft Regulation for the authorization of nicotinamide riboside chloride has received a favourable opinion by the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed on 19 November.
