Chamber of Commerce and Industry calls for stricter regulations on e-commerce of food supplements

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Russian Federation has appealed to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to strengthen control over the online sale of dietary supplements.
The CCI believes that there are enough problems in the Internet trade market that need to be solved for the safety of consumers as it is now easier to buy counterfeit dietary supplements or disguised as them on the markets now than in pharmacies, where there is a stricter selection of products.
The CCI notes that some sellers of dietary supplements avoid Russian requirements by selling them through legal entities registered in EAEU countries.
