MFDS proposes amendments to the Food Code

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has issued the Notice No. 2024-259, which proposes a partial revision of the food standards and specifications.
The main proposed changes are:
- Establisment of new food standards for microorganisms (E. coli and pathogenic bacteria) for food in food vending machines;
- Addition of 42 items to the list of raw materials that can be used in food.
