Bangladesh strengthens food recall systems

In an effort to protect consumers from consuming potentially harmful or contaminated foods, Bangladesh has announced the publication of the draft Food Safety (Food Recall) Regulations, 2023.
The Regulations establish rules and guidelines for the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority when recalling products and are in line with the Codex Alimentarius guide for developing and improving national food recall systems.
