Published Amendment to Food Supplements Regulations

On October 24, Government Emergency Ordinance 88/2023 came into force amending Law 56/2021 on food supplements in the following aspects:
- Change of competence for supplements containing vitamins/minerals only (from the Ministry of Health to the National Institute of Public Health);
- Clarifications on the categories of nutritional mixtures subject to the law;
- Repeal of competent authority's approval as requirement for advertising and promotional materials;
- Clarifications on the issuance of the notification certificate required for the marketing of food supplements.
