Restrictions on the use and labeling of raw food materials

The Ministry of Health and Welfare published a draft on "Restrictions on the use and labeling of food raw materials 2ʹ-fucosyllactose” (2ʹ-fucosyllactose) produced by the fermentation of genetically modified Escherichia coli (Escherichia coli, strain K-12 MG1655 INB000846. The final product does not contain genetically modified microorganisms or their transgenic fragments. The draft clearly stipulates the processing process of 2ʹ-fucosyllactose and the relevant specifications when used as a food raw material, including the specifications to be met, the scope of use, the limit of use and the information on the source of production to be declared on the labeling.
