Government amends tariff rates on health food supplements

The Government of Montserrat has adjusted the tariff rates on the importation of single use plastic bags, sugary drinks, tobacco products, pure natural drinks, health food supplements, live farm animals, most items of clothes and sanitary products.
The new tariff rates took effect on Monday April 12, 2021 under S.R.O. 27 of 2021 Customs Duties and Consumption Tax (Amendment of Schedules) Order.
Health food supplements. â to encourage persons to consume healthy foods- The consumption tax on health food supplements has been reduced from 15% to 10 %.
