This draft standard revision adopts the Codex Alimentarius Standard 12-1981, including revisions 1987 and 2001, and differs significantly from the previous standard's edition. It includes a few national deviations and changes that appear in the standard's Hebrew section as follow:
Adds a new section that appears after section 1 and includes normative references;
Adds to section 2.1 a sentence determining that "the honey shall not be the product of bee feeding during Honey storage period unless it's done it the nest level;
Adds a new section 2.1.3dealing with honey with supplements and additives;
Changes section 3.1;
Changes section 3.5.2 dealing with sucrose content;
