BELGIUM – RECALL OF APHRODISIAC FOOD SUPPLEMENTS

The Belgian food safety authority has made a public announcement to recall two products containing the substance sildenafil which is more commonly known under the brand name Viagra.
Sildenafil is authorized as a drug or medicinal product in the European Union. It should therefore be marketed following the legal framework for medicinal products and cannot be used in food supplements. The recalled products were sold under the names âGouttes dâamourâ en âMiel du Soudan Aphrodisiaqueâ.
