Proposes new maximum residue levels for food commodities

The World Trade Organization (WTO) has published new proposed maximum residue limits (MRLs) to be adopted in Japan for multiple food commodities.
Among others, substances involved are the following:
- Prothiofos â lowered or deleted limits for dry beans, dry peanuts, potato, cauliflower etc. and increased or newly set for welsh, nira, Japanese pear etc.
- Flutianil â lowered or deleted limits for melons and increased or newly set for apple, cherry and grape.
- Fenpicoxamid â newly set limits for wheat, rye and banana.
