Nutrition labeling

In the draft on nutrition labeling of foods, the Ministry of Health proposed that as of January 1, 2025, food products produced by manual methods should be subject to the following procedures: nutrition labeling according to regulations.
The draft clearly states the content of the nutritional composition including the following 7 criteria: 1- Energy (Energy); 2- Protein (Protein); 3- Carbohydrates (Carbohydrates); 4- Total Sugars (Total Sugar/Total Sugar); 5- Fat (Fat); 6- Saturated Fat (Saturated Fat); 7- Sodium (Sodium).
According to the Ministry of Health, the above proposal is based on CODEX implementation guidelines in 2011 and currently CODEX implementation standards have been fully implemented by 70% of countries and territories.
