The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA in Portuguese) has published an update of the main questions and answers on nutrition labelling of packaged foods.
The document has 207 questions with guidance on the regulatory framework for nutrition labelling of foods. Among the updates are the labeling rules for the presence of glucose, sucrose or fructose, which require the mandatory warning "Diabetics: contains...", followed by the name of the mono- or disaccharides, in bold type, in addition to the warning "Consume preferably under the supervision of a nutritionist or physician".
