SFA updates Industry Guidance on Safety Assessment of Novel Foods

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has published an updated guidance document for industry on the requirements for the safety assessment of novel foods and novel food ingredients. This document aims to provide food businesses with a better understanding on SFA’s requirements regarding the safety assessment for novel foods and novel food ingredients. Businesses are encouraged to refer to the guidance document prior to submitting a novel food application to SFA.
