Regulations on foods containing trans fatty acids published

Regulation No 53/2024 on the official control of foods containing trans fatty acids has been published in the Hungarian Official Gazette. The scope of the BM Decree covers oils, fats and fat emulsions marketed in Hungary that are intended for the final consumer alone or as an ingredient in a food. Exceptions to the scope are trans fatty acids naturally occurring in fats of animal origin.
