Taiwan mandates inspection on certain imported foods and packaging

On the 18th of June, 2024, the Taiwanese Food and Drug Administration (FDA) mandated that items such as foods, food additives, utensils, containers, or packaging—must comply with the "Regulations of Inspection of Imported Foods and Related Products." Importers handling these goods are required to seek inspection from the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Food and Drug Administration. This measure is aimed at ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory protocols.
