MFDS proposes amendment to the Special Law on Imported Food Safety Management

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has published issued Notice No. 2025-117, proposing to amend part of the Implementation Order of the Special Law on import Food Safety Management.
This bill clarifies that enterprises that import food, etc., through direct orders to overseas manufacturers, stores, etc., and deliver them directly upon request of domestic consumers are also considered as agencies of internet purchase of imported food, etc., and reorganizes the regulation on notification procedures for the grounds and details of business registration cancellation provisions.
